DOD and DOT Preparation – Is your organization preparing for a DOD or DOT audit? Perhaps you’ve had your audit and need to improve your ratings? We have the legal and operational background to assist with either solution.
“Thank you for all your help and advice over the years, most recently with our first DOT audit. Your guidance was critical (and correct) under some very tight deadlines; of course, you helped The Jet receive a Satisfactory grade with no citations. We couldn’t have done it without you!” Chad Scarborough
Training Programs – Whether your organization needs a single day customer-service training or a multiple week CDL driver training. On Your Mark Transportation has the experienced staff ready to develop your own custom designed program. We can even design and develop on-line training programs. The FTA and FMCSA are requiring more evidence of proper training programs.
“Thank you so much for the coaching, instruction, and endless patience. I sincerely appreciate all your efforts in helping me and would certainly recommend your services to anyone who wants to attain their CDL and Endorsement.” Calvin Reed
Driver Roadeo, Planning and Implementation –
Are you having issues with your drivers backing into objects, or, perhaps turning to sharply? Have you noticed it is as much with your senior drivers, as those with less experience? Our Staff has created multiple Driver Rodeos over the years to help companies find where their driver skills are lacking, and to help hone in on those areas that really need additional skills work. A driver rodeo helps to create comradery, assists in finding which skills are lacking in specific areas, and then to help create a specific training program for each driver. OYMT has been chosen since the inception of the United Motorcoach Association’s National Rodeo to help plan and implement this driver rodeo. We can take the skills you wish to test and develop a skill course that is specific to your organization. At the end of the rodeo, your company will receive a complete digital printout of driver scores, which will give your organization the ability to see which skills need additional work, and which drivers may need additional training. Let us sit down with you and make this a great event!
“I am writing you this letter to express what an outstanding job you and your team completed for our first ever driver “road”eo. Your experience in setting up such a challenging and fun course was evident from day one. We have drivers that have over 50 years of both motorcoach and tractor trailer driving experience, and even they could not complete some of the obstacles you were able to create. I have had so many drivers come up to me since the event that want “one more crack” at the course. You highlighted some areas that we really need to focus on without onboarding and driver hiring processes. We will certainly incorporate some of your obstacles into our training program.
You made this challenge such a great team building event, from drivers, to safety and compliance personnel, to ownership. Everyone had such a great time. I am hoping to make this an annual event for our organization!
Safety and Security Analysis – When was the last time you and your staff thought about the “what ifs”? Many of us are concerned about the day-to-day taking care of issues. However, what if your business had been hit by a tornado, flood, fire, last night? What would have happened yesterday if one of your employees had a disgruntled spouse or former friend, who took out their anger at your workplace? Most Federal Grant programs require an updated Safety and Security Analysis, but all businesses should take some time to review emergency preparedness. In fact, we have an article in our blog about this very factor.
Inside and Outside Sales Training – Need that outside salesperson to do a sales blitz, or concentrate on a specific area? Do you have a new outside salesperson who needs training from an experienced salesperson in our industry? You spend thousands on the purchase of vehicles. Invest a small part on having a trained sales staff. Your organization does not need “order takers.” Give your staff the training they need to be true outside, or phone sales professionals.
Company Specific Standard Operating Procedures –
How often has someone asked “Where did that directive come from?”, only to find out that some Supervisor came up with it off the top of their head. As businesses grow, its important that procedures are followed throughout the system, and are easily replicated. It’s important that if there is a question, it can be answered easily. Our staff has gone into organizations to review procedures and found form after form required to be filled out by employees, with nobody having an understanding why it was required. We can review procedures, make them easier to follow, and put into writing the ones that are actually required. We create a notebook of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that can be accessed so the all procedures can be replicated, and everyone understands why they are being followed.
